Then look no further than Toronto Baptist Seminary and Bible College. TBS offers the one year Master of Theology degree (Th.M.) off-site.
The following material is taken right from the TBS website and from the TBS Prospectus. Consider it! In a world with increased creative doctrinal teachings and such, it is important for those in the ministry to consider further academic studies.
Master of Theology
This research degree is ideal for those who have taken a Master of Theological Studies or a Master of Divinity (without a thesis) and thus this degree can serve as a stepping-stone to a doctoral degree or be a terminal research degree. Entrance into the degree is dependent on an overall B+ average or higher in the preceding degree.
Currently offered in New Testament Studies, Christian Thought, and Baptist Studies.
Co-Requisite:
Depending on the area of study, demonstrated reading ability in a modern language (Theological German, Theological French, or Theological Dutch) and an ancient language (Greek, Hebrew, or Latin).

Thesis
The thesis is to be around 45,000 words. A prospectus of the thesis must be approved by the end of the fall of the first year. An oral defence involving three readers (two internal and one external), chaired by the thesis supervisor, will take place upon completion of the thesis at the end of the summer prior to the Fall Convocation.

Apart from residential fees and graduation fees, etc., it runs around $6000 CAD for tuition and library fees. Pretty affordable I think!

Dear Sir:
I just exchanged emails with Keith Edwards about the ThM program of Toronto Baptist Seminary. Perhaps you could fill me in from your side, since you are promoting the program.
1. Aren’t there any taught courses? Is everything merely “reading courses”?
2. With required reading courses of 4-5 books per course, course completion might be delayed, depending on the availability of the books. Hence, can an international student study on campus, using the books at the seminary, assuming that they are all available there? If so, how many months do you estimate to finish all the courses?
3. Keith told me that Toronto Baptist Seminary grants degrees under the Ministry of Colleges and Universities. Does this mean that the seminary is ACCREDITED by the Ministry?
4. Does the TBS submit itself to a quality assurance board, for regular reviews as to the quality of their programs? If not, how does the seminary maintain its quality?
