Andrew Fuller (1754-1815) – New Resource

Issue 9 (Spring 2008) of Eusebeia: The Bulletin of the Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies is now available in print form. This included many of the papers presented at the 1st annual Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies conference held at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2007. These articles focus on “reading Andrew Fuller” and deal with his theological influences from men like Owen to Edwards. Included also are articles on Fullers’ view of the atonement and the relationship between John Ryland Sr. and Jr. and John Erskine. The table of contents are as follows:

Steave Weaver, the extraordinary PhD student at SBTS, pastor of Farmdale Baptist Church, and new Administrative Assistant of The Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies located at SBTS, has posted a reminder about the upcoming Andrew Fuller conference in Louisville, KY on August 25-26, 2008. You can see the update and a brochure of the conference here.

Announcing the Annual Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies Lectures on April 5, 2008 in Cambridge, Ontario.

Dr. Liam Goligher will be speaking twice during the morning on the following:

Emergent: Reinventing Liberalism?

Pierced for our Transgressions: Preaching the Cross Today

The lectures will begin at 9:30 AM and will go to 12:15 PM. They are being held at Grace Bible Church in Cambridge, ON. There is no cost for the lectures but a love offering will be taken to help offset the cost of the conference. Lord willing, Sola Scriptura Ministries International will have a book table at the church offering great prices on Reformed literature! Liam Goligher is Senior Minister of Duke Street Church, Richmond, London. He studied at the Irish Baptist College, Belfast; University of Waterloo, Ontario, and Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson, Mississippi, and has pastored churches in Ireland, Canada, Scotland and London. A regular at the UK’s Keswick Convention and at similar conventions throughout the world, Dr. Goligher has led University missions in the UK and Europe and his Sunday sermons can be heard throughout the UK on Premier Radio.


New Issue of Eusebeia Gone to Print

Issue 8 of Eusebeia: The Bulletin of the Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies is currently at the printer and due out for mailing shortly. This issue is dedicated to the Cappadocians and should not be missed. First, the editorial by Dr. Haykin is titled “Why Study the Fathers?” and is an important piece to get our hearts and minds stimulated to understanding the early church. Then the articles are as follows:
